BENCH WARMER: The spectacular Naramata Bench is one of the province’s premiere grape-growing regions and home to 24 wineries, which recently brought their new spring releases to Vancouver. The Wine for Waves tipple fest and auction was hosted by the Naramata Bench Wineries Association in partnership with the Vancouver Aquarium, with proceeds going toward the aquarium’s Ocean Wise program. Ocean Wise program manager Ann-Marie Copping and executive chef Ned Bell — one of Canada’s most outspoken ambassadors for sustainable seafood — welcomed a fashionable crowd to the Four Seasons Hotel for the sold-out event, which paired some of B.C.’s best wineries with sustainable seafood and fundraising efforts.
