In a word
SLICK: Ten minutes into the game, the Caps pulled off their best combination of the season by far. Christian Bolanos played a 1-2 with Nicolas Mezquida, then Bolanos slid the ball to Masato Kudo who laid it off to Pedro Morales for a near miss. Pretty stuff. No goal.
BOOS: Ex-Caps forward Darren Mattocks received a cold reception at B.C. Place. It started in the fifth minute when he found acres of space to run at Fraser Aird with the ball. Mattocks fumbled it in the box to jeers. The fans kept the boos going all game.
FAVE: After a rough opener it’s safe to say Fraser Aird has won over the home fans. He’s improved defensively each week and he’s showing off his attacking prowess too. In the 65th minute, he almost went end-to-end. The lad can run all day, and he’s a great crosser of the ball.
