WORLEY POSTS 11TH CAREER WORLD CUP GS VICTORY
MARIBOR, Slovenia — Giant slalom specialist Tessa Worley got back to winning ways on Saturday, clinching a French record 11th career win in her favourite discipline.
Worley used a near-perfect final run to grab her third win of the season. Worley had the fastest second-run time to beat Italian skier Sofia Goggia by 0.16 seconds. Defending overall champion Lara Gut of Switzerland came 0.25 behind in third.
Marie-Michele Gagnon of Lac-Etchemin, Que., was ninth in 2:18.30, while Valerie Grenier of Mont Tremblant, Que., finished 22nd in 2:20.34.
