McLaren releases sketch of Hyper-GT
Vehicle said to be company’s most powerful car yet
McLaren has offered a sneak peek at its latest “Hyper-GT” car, codenamed BP23, which the company says will be the most powerful and most aerodynamic road-going McLaren ever.
Besides this very rough sketch, there’s not much more information available on the new car, other than it will have three seats (like the original McLaren F1) and a hybrid powertrain.
It’s currently being developed by McLaren Special Operations, the bespoke division of the company responsible for what it calls its “McLaren Ultimate Series product family.” Just 106 examples will be built, with the first few appearing in 2019 and undoubtedly with a different name. And in case you have the means and the interest in buying one, forget it; each of the limited run of cars has already been sold.
