Target of Creep Catchers sting faces sex charges
A man who was allegedly involved in a physical confrontation with Surrey’s Creep Catchers has been charged. Kuljinder Singh Bhatti, a 35-yearold Burnaby man, faces charges of trying to lure a minor for a sexual purpose and of making an arrangement with a person for a sexual offence involving an underage individual. The confrontation took place Monday and was captured on video by Surrey members of the vigilante group Creep Catchers. In the video, a man believed to be Bhatti can be seen being repeatedly shoved up against a wall. According to Creep Catchers, Bhatti thought he was meeting with a woman and her six-year-old son but instead was greeted by chapter president Ryan LaForge and associates. LaForge was also arrested and is under investigation for possible assault. Following Monday’s incident, Surrey RCMP launched an investigation which culminated in Bhatti’s arrest on Thursday.
