Naude, who failed to make Canada’s moguls team last Olympics, has redeemed herself in Pyeongchan­g, finishing second overall in qualifying by posting a score of 79.60. Fellow Canadians Justine Dufour-Lapointe and Audrey Robichaud finished fourth and 10th, respective­ly.

The first step toward a fifth consecutiv­e gold in women’s hockey is a faceoff with the Olympic Athletes of Russia. Canada, led by head coach Laura Schuler and captain Marie-Philip Poulin, will compete in a stacked Group B featuring the Americans, Finns and OAR.
