POWER RANKINGS
Calgary (1) With Bo Levi Mitchell off target, Calgary balanced its attack against Hamilton with 132 rushing yards and found a way to get it done on defence.
Edmonton (2) A come-from-behind win over Winnipeg again showed Mike Reilly’s steady hands late in a close game. He’s unflappable.
Saskatchewan (5) With pressure from Willie Jefferson and Charlston Hughes, the Riders front looks like it will produce plenty of sacks and hurries.
B.C. (6) QB Jonathon Jennings was good on 20-of-24 attempts, threw two TDs and no interceptions in a win over Montreal. If he keeps that up, the Lions will be in the mix.
Toronto (3) In a road loss to the Riders, the Argos looked like a team that didn’t give its starting QB a single rep in pre-season. Ricky Ray had several layers of rust on him.
Hamilton (4) QB Jeremiah Masoli had the Ticats in position to steal one in Calgary, until he threw a fourth-quarter pick. Not good enough.
Ottawa (7) The Redblacks had the bye, stay in the seven slot.
Winnipeg (8) Rookie QB Chris Streveler, who tossed three TDs and two picks against Esks, is learning on the fly. That’s going to involve pain.
Montreal (9) After strong start against B.C., Als gave up too many sacks, took too many penalties and stopped giving ball to RB Tyrell Sutton.
