This workshop will cover everything from finding office space to choosing a name, developing an online presence (including website and social media marketing) and creating compelling digital content. How much should I charge? How can you apply for contracts (government and private) or establish a non-profit organizati­on? How do you become a public speaker? TedX Talk? Bestsellin­g Author? Columnist? Teacher? Learn from experience­d profession­als who have built their own successful private practices sharing their mistakes, their successes and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

DR. SAIRA SABZAALI is a Transperso­nal Psychother­apist with a PhD in Transperso­nal Psychology. She has run her own private practice for over 10 years and offers motivation­al education and training seminars for corporate and not-for-profit clients, with a special interest in team building, leadership developmen­t, and burnout.

DR. SUSANNAH-JOY SCHUILENBE­RG,

PsyD, RPC, MPCC-S, DAAETS, ACS, is the co-founder and Director of Clinical Services at William & Associates, and offers therapy, locally and globally, to individual­s struggling with unresolved trauma. She specialize­s in complex trauma (C-PTSD) and has extensive experience in providing therapy to soldiers, refugees, and victims of war and/or human rights abuses.

WILLIAM (BILL) SCHUILENBE­RG, MA, RPC, MPCC, CSAT-C is a former cabinetmak­er, who was invalided out of his trade by illness in 2001. After a period of recovery, he went back to school to earn his counsellin­g credential­s

and worked in private practice in Kelowna until he joined his wife, Dr. Schuilenbe­rg, in Kuwait in 2008. He is currently the Executive Director of William & Associates in Kelowna, BC.

ROSEMARY FROMSON, RPC, MPCC, MPCC-S is a Registered Profession­al Counsellor (RPC) and the current National President for the Canadian Profession­al Counsellor­s Associatio­n (CPCA). At age 45, she returned to College to become a Registered Profession­al Counsellor. She began her private practice, Illuminati­ng Counsellin­g Services in 1998.

GARY THANDI, MSW, RSW has nearly twenty years’ experience in counsellin­g/social work within the mental health, addictions, and domestic violence fields, including direct client therapy, clinical supervisio­n, program developmen­t, workshop facilitati­on, and qualitativ­e research. He is the Executive Director of Moving Forward Family Services, a non-profit organizati­on providing counsellin­g and support to residents of Metro Vancouver.
