Cold­play’s Head Full of Dreams tour hits the­atres

With 114 dates and an au­di­ence in ex­cess of five mil­lion, Cold­play’s Head Full of Dreams tour in 2016 stands as the third-high­est-gross­ing tour of all time, be­hind sets by U2 and the Rolling Stones. But if you still man­aged to miss the show, or just want to re­live it, Mat White­cross has just the ticket. The mu­sic video di­rec­tor and doc­u­men­tary film­maker — he shot 2016’s Oa­sis: Su­per­sonic — fol­lows the band on its tour but also looks back at the his­tory of Cold­play, from the 1996 meet­ing be­tween lead singer Chris Martin and lead gui­tarist Jonny Buck­land at Uni­ver­sity Col­lege Lon­don, to — well, play­ing for a global au­di­ence of five mil­lion. Cold­play: A Head Full of Dreams will screen at se­lect cin­e­mas world­wide on Nov. 14, and can be streamed on Ama­zon Prime from Nov. 16.
