Campbell’s kids end effort to contest will

Three of late singer Glen

Campbell’s children have abandoned their attempt to overturn their exclusion from his will.

The country music star died aged 81 last year after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease and left all of his estate to his wife of more than three decades, Kimberly Campbell, and five of his eight offspring.

He cut out his three eldest kids, his daughter Kelli, and sons William Travis and Wesley Kane, from his marriage to Billie Jean Nunley, in his 2006 will, which named Kim as the estate’s executor, placing her in charge of his fortune, including a trust set up for the rest of his family. The trio contested the validity of the will, questioning their father’s capacity to decide the fate of his fortune – but according to USA Today, they filed to dismiss their case at a court in Tennessee without explanation.
