Pedestrian seriously hurt in hit-and-run

A 40-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Surrey Thursday night.

At around 7 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck at the intersecti­on of 64th Avenue and 134th Street. Police believe the pedestrian was in the crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle, described as a white pickup with unknown licence plate.

The woman suffered serious but non-life-threatenin­g injuries.
