Pete Davidson opened up about his reaction to being namechecked in his ex Ariana Grande’s smash hit single

Thank U, Next during a New Year’s Eve stand-up comedy show.

At the start of November, just weeks after she broke off her engagement to the comedian, Ariana released the single, in which she references her exes Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, the late rapper Mac Miller and Pete, with her singing she was “so thankful” for him.

During a stand-up gig in Boston on Monday night, the 25-year-old shared his thoughts on the tune, which was released just before he was going on air with Saturday Night Live.

“That s--- came out before I had to put on a f---ing duck hat and be like, ‘Derrrp, here’s the pizza (sic)!’ So all my friends were there,” he recalled.

Continuing to discuss the tune, Pete told the audience: “Here’s the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it’s about but you don’t really know. This diabolical genius named all of us.

“And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big d---,” he added, referring to comments the singer made about his manhood.

During his set, Davidson also took aim at Louis C.K., who is attempting a comeback after being accused of sexual harassment, claiming he once told SNL producers “he’s (Pete’s) gonna smoke his career away” and that he “smokes so much weed that it makes people uncomfortable.”
