Kim K weighs in on fat-shaming, gets roasted
Kim Kardashian has been slammed for defending Demi Lovato’s protest against Instagram weight loss ads days after she promoted appetite suppressants.
The Keeping up with the Kardashians star took to Twitter to retweet a post by Lovato, in which the singer directed fans to her Instagram page and attacked bosses at the social media site for publishing offensive “fat-shaming” ads promoting Game of Sultans.
“Just called out Instagram and some bulls--- game on my insta stories ... go check it out,” Lovato tweeted alongside the link. “Always speak up for what you believe in!”
The ad encouraged gamers to make their character’s
“obese” daughter slim down to look more like their friend’s “pretty” girl.
In addition to sharing Lovato’s post, Kardashian added applause emojis to show her support for the 26-year-old, prompting fans to point out that Kim herself has promoted controversial diet supplements.
Several commenters noted that the 38-year-old appeared in an ad for weight loss teas from FlatTummyCo. As part of the paid partnership, the brunette beauty showed off her toned tummy and noted the beverage had helped her shed the holiday pounds.
