Dog’s behaviour decides

-

The police seizure of 27,500 fentanyl pills was ruled a violation of the accused’s Charter rights. The pills were found hidden in a wheel well, but the police apparently were too quick to rely on a detection dog’s “ambiguous behaviour” by sitting down. The judge concluded that admission of the drugs into evidence would bring the administration of justice into disrepute — 27,500 fentanyl pills at a time when fentanyl is killing hundreds of B.C. residents a year and a judgment based in part because a dog sat down.

I would say it was this verdict that brought the administration of justice into disrepute. Don Francis, West Vancouver
