Na wins in Vegas after meltdown
Kevin Na recovered from a meltdown before beating fellow American Patrick Cantlay in a playoff at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Na sank a four-foot par putt on the second extra hole at TPC Summerlin to avoid what would have been a sickening loss.
He had given up a fourshot lead on the back nine, primarily due to a triple-bogey at the 10th hole. Na shot 1-under-par 70 while Cantlay carded 68.
The pair tied at 23-underpar 261, two shots ahead of Pat Perez.
Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford finished strongly with an 8-under 63, pushing his overall total to 20-under 264, good for a fourth-place tie with Bryson DeChambeau. Abbotsford’s Nick Taylor finished in a tied for 29th at 14-under after a round of 69 on Sunday.
