MCCAFFERY IS MOTORING
Have Christian McCaffrey in your fantasy league? If not, you wish you did.
The Carolina Panthers running back is off to a sizzling statistical start. In a
34-27 home-field defeat of Jacksonville, the third-year pro rushed
19 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns — including an 84-yarder — and he caught six passes for 61 yards, including an 18-yard score. McCaffrey led the league in rushing with 411 yards coming into Sunday. Now he has 587 rush yards and 866 total yards from scrimmage, with 11 games to play. McCaffrey even attempted a pass, but it fell incomplete.
“It’s hard to put it into perspective,” Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said of McCaffrey’s exploits. “He is a tremendous football player. He is a hard worker. He is a guy who just plays the game with such passion, and he is a heck of a guy.”
