9-1-1 star buys $6M house
Jennifer Love Hewitt has a new place to call home and it’s family friendly to boot.
The actress and her husband Brian Hallisay have bought a US$6-million house in the casually chic seaside community of Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles.
The couple will share the 6,300-square-foot property with their children — Autumn, six, and Atticus, four.
The boxy white clapboard home, which Variety describes as a “Cape Cod-inspired Hamptons-style residence,” has six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms over two storeys.
The ground floor boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors, and French doors open to a terrace on the second floor that overlooks the grassy backyard and pool.
The contemporary home also has traditional features like European oak floors, thick mouldings and custom millwork.
Among the luxe tech touches are a smart-home system, whole house audio system, climate-controlled wine closet and a multi-zone heating and cooling system.
And if they’re craving a family movie night, the Hewitt-Hallisays can kick back in a state-of-the-art home theatre room, which has a wet bar and candy counter.
Privacy isn’t a problem —
the house is obscured by matures trees and surrounded by a tall wall.
Hewitt also owns another home in Pacific Palisades, which she bought for US$3.25-million in 2013, according to Architectural Digest.
Before she moved to Pacific Palisades, Hewitt was a longtime resident of the Toluca Lake community in Los Angeles, where she owned at least three houses.
Hewitt stars on the Fox/ Global TV series 9-1-1 as Maddie Kendall, and Hallisay plays her ex-husband Doug Kendall. The two married in 2013.
