Luna Nectar takes all-natural approach to beauty essentials
Small Vancouver skincare startup Luna Nectar is looking to initiate a “Ritual Revolution.”
Created by founder Mia Fiona Kut, the company offers a curated selection of handmade skin-care and hair-care products made locally using quality natural ingredients.
We caught up with Kut to learn more. Q. For those who aren’t familiar, what is Luna Nectar?
A.
Luna Nectar is an all-natural, vegan, and cruelty-free haircare and skincare brand, with the motto Ritual Revolution. We focus on the essentials of beauty routines, while maintaining a luxurious feel and quality to each of our products. We started off with our flagship product, the Moon Boost Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum, and now have expanded into a full line of hair-care, skin-care and wellness products. Q. What makes it different from other skin-care brands?
A.
We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We like to have fun with our brand, and produce other content such as Spotify playlists, short films, and are now working on a podcast. We like to see ourselves more of a lifestyle media brand, and cover in our blog posts everything ranging from wellness, healing, inspiring figures, to social and environmental causes. We’re also transparent, use high-quality ingredients, and make sure each formula is synergistic in its composition and its benefits. Q. Who is the target customer?
A.
Our customers range in age from 21-55, socially conscious, with an interest in green, clean beauty and the environment. Q. What can you share about where the products are made?
A.
We make all of our products in our in-house laboratory in Vancouver.

Is there a ‘hero’ product in the line? If so, which one and what makes it so popular?
A.
Our hero product will always be our first product, our baby: Moon Boost Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum. It is very popular because we have women of all ages looking for a clean solution to chemical lash serums, extensions or therapies that had given them adverse effects.
Our combination of ingredients in Moon Boost both introduce and lock in moisture, as well as contribute to the growth phase of the lash cycle. Moon Boost also is a very cost-effective alternative to chemical serums and other lash and brow procedures. Our Nocturne Magnesium Sleep Oil is also another hero product — the topical magnesium spray helps with relaxation and elevating mood. Compared to traditional magnesium sprays, ours doesn’t itch and smells dreamy. Q. What is the price range for Luna Nectar products? A. $25 to $75. Q. Lastly, where can people check them out?
