GAY, Muriel E.

-

Nov. 30, 1924 - Mar. 27, 2020

Thinking of you always! We are saddened to announce the passing of Muriel Gay, the last in our family of her generation. Muriel died of heart failure on March 27th, in her 96th year. She is lovingly remembered by her niece Janet Secord (Tim) Ottawa, her nephew Rick Pooley (Hilda) Decker Lake, niece Dianne Nichol (Ken) Edmonton, her great-nieces Nellie Davis and Joanna Cardinal, Burns Lake, Allison Wong, Burnaby, Erin Secord, Ottawa, and great-nephew Scott Secord, Ottawa. Fondly remembered by her long-time friends and caregivers Jenny Sopcak, Corinne Wieting, and Gail Frederick, they took exceptional care of Muriel for many years and we thank them sincerely. She will be missed by nephew-in-law Jim Harris, and dear friends Dorothy and Len Stott of Gibsons. Muriel's career with the RCMP spanned many years, and after retirement, her very keen mind kept her involved with world news and current events. She was a life-long learner, took up and mastered the internet at age 88. Her generous heart and devotion to friends and family will be long remembered. A Celebration of Life date to be confirmed.
