MCLAUGHLIN, Erin Lee

-

Sep. 3, 1962 - May 20, 2020

The McLaughlin family has lost a force of nature. Erin, the youngest child of Tom and Audrey, who predeceased her, died peacefully on May 20, 2020. She is survived by three sisters: Sandra, Bonnie (Norm) and Patti, and a nephew and niece, Ryan and Eden. There is no funeral, by her own request. Erin was passionate about many and varied things: gardening, jewellerymaking, colouring-in, needlework and sock knitting. She also was a keen protector of animals, both wild and domestic. For the past 12 years she had worked for the BC Teachers' Federation, as a Case Manager for disability claims - something she was very good at, given her natural compassion, precise mind, and wicked sense of humour. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Erin's memory to Northern Lights Wildlife Society - a registered charity that rescues and rehabilitates bears in Northern BC. Cheques and money orders may be made out to NLWS, 17366 Telkwa High Road, Smithers, BC V0J 2N7. If you'd prefer an e-transfer, please use info@wildlifeshelter.com and bears as a password.
