MCFARLANE (nee MACDONALD), Jean Rebecca

October 17, 1923 - May 20, 2020

Passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospice, White Rock BC at the age of 96.

Jean is survived by her sisters Margaret Chalmers and Greta Morton, sister-inlaw Morna MacDonald, children Kathy (Kerry) Francoeur, Ian (Lyn) McFarlane and Margaret (Terry) Lajoie, grandchildren Genny Francoeur, Lauren (Ken) McManus (and great grandson Declan), Lindsay McFarlane and Alec Lajoie, and her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Hugh in 2012, infant son Hughie, brother Ian and great granddaughter Brooklyn.

Jean was born and grew up in Bathurst NB. After marrying Hugh they moved to Fredericton NB, Montreal PQ, Sault Ste Marie ON, North Vancouver BC, Esher England and Rome Italy before retiring in Surrey BC and White Rock. Jean attended secretarial college and worked as a secretary before the arrival of her children. Jean made lifelong friends wherever she lived often through her church, kept physically active until recently and always enjoyed a good game of bridge.

Thanks to all who visited and sent best wishes to Jean in recent months and also to the staff and volunteers at Peace Arch Hospital and Hospice for their care.
