BRADFORD (Kirkpatrick), Mary Kathleen

March 31, 1922 - May 18, 2020

It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother and grandmother at her home in Richmond, B.C. Mary was born in Hamilton, ON, predeceased by her husband of 68 years, John William 'Brick' Bradford (2014) and her son Craig (1960). She is survived by her sons Scott (Janet Snider) of Woodstock, ON and David (Andrea) of Pismo Beach, California, grandchildren Andrew (Jaclyn Grant), Emily (Eric Butler) and great grandchildren, Avery, Aiden and Thea, all of Toronto. Following Mary's marriage to airline pilot Brick after WWII, they travelled extensively. Mary had a cosmopolitan experience living in Amsterdam, Mont Jolie, Quebec; Clarkson ON; Greenwich, Connecticut; Orinda, California; Edmonton, Alberta and finally Richmond. Mary 'held the fort' through these numerous moves with her boys. Lately, David and Scott talked to Mary regularly about their lives and her beloved Canucks and Blue Jays. She read the newspaper every day and did the crossword at lightening speed. In her last years Mary enjoyed her independence and her ability to stay in her apartment of 30+ years, where she had many friends and acquaintances. Mary's family is especially grateful to her wonderful friends Denise and Tracy, whose help made it possible for Mary to stay in the community where she was happy and most comfortable.

The family will have a celebration of Mary's life at a later date.
