It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill, loving husband father and grandfather after a brief battle with cancer. He died at home with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his first wife Doranne and his two brothers Bud and Bob. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife Joy, daughter Lisa (Greg), son Leigh (Rachal) and 4 grandchildren, Jasmine, Trevor, Megan and Emily, Joy's sons, Steve (Monika), Rob (Elana), Ken (Danielle) and 6 grandchildren, Branden, Amanda, Jeremy, Benjamin, Sarah and Jenna, sister-in-law Joan and other relatives. Bill was born in New Westminster and grew up Fraser Mills and the Nimpkish Valley before living in Coquitlam and then Surrey. Most of his working career was spent working as a plumber for the Vancouver School Board. Bill loved the outdoors whether he was fishing, gardening, taking walks or golfing. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and he loved travelling and cruising to many destinations around the world. He took great pride in his property on Duck Lake and loved watching the wildlife and feeding the ducks. Any spare time Bill had was spent with one of his devious sudoku puzzles which he had a passion for. He was a man of integrity and an optimist who had a passion for living every day to the fullest. Bill will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A private funeral and burial will be held on June 12, 2020.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
