PRASLOSKI, Ann Elizabeth (nee Playfair)

Ann passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, her legacy.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Peter, her children, Sue (Tom), Bruce (Cathy), Janet (Paolo), Julie (Ron) and grandchildren, Bryan, Thomas, Brianna, Carleigh, Justine, Jaeden, Jesse, Graeme, Stuart, Cameron and their partners.
Ann was predeceased by her sister Joan (Alex), and Son-in-law, Sean. Born and raised in Ottawa, Ann graduated from McGill University, HEc'55 and moved to Vancouver to complete her dietetic internship at Vancouver General Hospital. It was here she met Peter, they married in Calgary in 1957 and spent the next years in Oakland California, and Boston Mass, returning to settle in New Westminster in 1964, where they raised their family.
Ann valued family, community and tradition. She was a world traveler, an avid bridge player and enjoyed her "Bridge Day" with the ladies and visits with friends. Ann was known for her attention to detail, her organizational skills and her many lists, which were legendary. She was active in the New Westminster community and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the New Westminster and District Band.
Ann will be missed as a loving wife, a great mom, a caring grandmother and cherished friend. There will be a private family gathering to celebrate her life.
Ann was a dedicated supporter of The Ride to Conquer Cancer, and several other charities. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
