A Time To Say Thanks
I was born in Dodsland, Sask. I graduated in pharmacy from USask in 1952. I then moved to Vancouver and enjoyed many different opportunities in pharmacy until I retired in 1995.
I have five children, Bronwen (Vic), Brenda (Mary Lou), Barbara (Bill), Matthew, and Daniel (Jackie), two stepsons Michael and Tony (Kim), fourteen grandchildren, and 13.5 great grandchildren.
My life was a simple and good life- I had caring parents who raised me with love, I was fortunate to live in Canada with its freedoms at a time when the turmoils of the world did not greatly affect me, working in a profession I enjoyed, and enjoyed good health for my many years. My life experiences were mostly positive and it is the sharing of those experiences with friends and family that has made my life a good life. A time to say thank you- to the colleagues who worked with me all those years- to the many dancers who shared space on the square and round dance floors- to the many friends at Chelsea Gardens and the times shared at the bridge table, the pool deck, special events, and dinner parties- to my family, my children, grand children and great grandchildren for your love and support through the good times and the more difficult times.
I was fortunate to have two ladies who chose to share their lives with me- Janet my first wife and mother of my 5 children, and Jean my second wife. Both of these wonderful ladies predeceased me.
My life is over. If I have a life after death it will be in the memories and thoughts of those who are still alive. I wish that some of you from time to time have some kind thoughts of me and when those thoughts fade and die, then I will be gone.
