Province helps mark B.C. SPCA milestone

The B.C. SPCA celebrated a major milestone in its animal-welfare work in B.C. with a little help from the provincial government. A special proclamation, issued this summer, declared Sept. 21 the non-profit group's 125th anniversary.

“We are proud of the widespread improvements that have been achieved in the lives of animals in British Columbia,” said CEO Craig Daniell. “But there is still much to be done, and we are grateful to all those who share our vision of a world where no animal suffers because of human neglect or violence.”
