GUNDERSON, Violet (nee Keller)

Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the age of 99 into the loving arms of her Lord. Born to Jack and Phyllis Keller on January 24, 1921 near Duff Saskatchew­an. Vi met and later married Clarence Gunderson on March 30, 1941. This union was blessed with 6 children; Ronald, Carol, Gloria, Donna, Rodney and David. Vi farmed in the Kelvington, Saskatchew­an area until 1956 and then moved with her family to Vancouver, B.C. She worked at the Vancouver Public Library for 21 years. She was a Member of Bethlehem Lutheran church in Vancouver and then moved to Surrey in 1979 where she became a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Predecease­d by her husband Clarence, son Rodney and brothers Wilfred and Elmer. Survived by her children Ron (Pat), Carol, Gloria (Larry), Donna and David (Sandra). Also survived by 12 grandchild­ren 22 great-grandchild­ren and 1 great-great-grandchild, sister Doreen, brother Bill (Jean) along with many relatives and friends in Saskatchew­an and B.C. Due to Covid-19 restrictio­ns a CLOSED/PRIVATE Memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Monday, October 19 and 12:00 noon and open burial to follow and Valley View Funeral Home & Cemetery, around 2:00 p.m., 14644-72nd Ave, Surrey. A very special thanks to Dr. Cass and his staff at the Langley Hospice, for the special loving care Mom received for the last two months. Friends and family so wishing to make donations in memory of Vi, can do so to Faith Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Hour Ministries or Langley Hospice.
