-

May 1, 1940 – October 8, 2020

Anne passed away peacefully early Thursday morning. She was predeceased by her beloved and loving husband John. Also predeceased by parents Robert (Bob) and Catherine Abbott. Anne came from a long line of British Columbians dating back to the 1840’s and earlier. She was proud of the Chase and Sushwap Nation heritage she shared. Anne was a loyal and loving sister and aunt. Her family was always first in her heart. Her nieces and nephews enjoyed their time with Anne on Tofino holidays, Aquarium visits, consults with Grad dresses, and most of all, the much desired visit to the White Spot. She was a kind, considerate person with a great love for animals and all wild life. Anne had a long career with BC Telephone, enjoying her work and her colleagues. She made many friends at BC Tel and stayed in touch until recently. Along with John she enjoyed walking and exploring Vancouver. They frequented both the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Aquarium, favorites with both. They travelled the world together including trips to Africa, South America, United Kingdom, Europe, India, Iraq, Iran and many more. Anne is survived by her brother Neil Abbott (Carol), sister Karen Knox (Bill Jackson), nieces and nephews: Robert (Anntonette), Keith (Dianne), Janice (Shayne), Paul (Christina), Terrence, Kevin (Nancy), Colleen (Jack). Great-nieces and nephews: Caithlin, Amy, Lisa, Kate, Lori, Christina, Shannon, Jake, Cameron and great-great-nephew: Rowan.
