ANDERSON, Margaret Luella

Oct 11, 1924 - Dec 18, 2020

-

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Margaret Anderson (nee Tunney). She was a kind, generous and humble person. She loved and was loved by all who knew her. She was a dedicated supporter and participant in Al-Anon for many years. She loved playing cards (especially crib and bridge), doing jigsaw puzzles, bowling, watching curling on T.V. and being with her family. Marg never forgot a birthday, a birth, an anniversary or any other special occasion; there would always be a card, present or phone call.

Marg was predeceased by her husband Gus, sister Jean and parents Ella and Rob. She is survived by her daughter Marlene, son Bill (Liz), granddaughter Elizabeth and grandsons Gregory and Benjamin. Margaret will be sadly missed by her nieces Joanne, Brenda, Dianne and nephews Jim and Bob, as well as her sisters-in-law Svea and Mable.

Marg was born in Aberdeen Washington on October 11, 1924. She moved with her family to Edgerton Alberta, and then later moved to New Westminster, BC where she met and married the love of her life, Gustav Anderson; they had two children Marlene and Bill. In 1965 the family moved to Burnaby where Marg became a fixture in the neighborhood and devout member of the West Burnaby United Church. Marg lived in the family home until 2013, when she moved back to New Westminster, for assisted senior care.

There will be no service at this time.

The family would like to thank all of those when knew and loved Marg for all that you did for our Mom.
