AMOS, June

-

It’s with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother June Kathleen Amos on December 31, 2020 at the age of 90 years.

June was predeceased by her loving husband Ray, son Craig and grandson Trevor. June is survived by her sons Ron, Glen, Brian and Jim.

June was born on June 15, 1950 in Parry Saskatchewan to George and Gerda Brown.

She joined her parents and her four siblings and relocated to Surrey B.C. in 1945.

It was in Surrey where June met and eventually married Ray Amos on July 4, 1950. Five sons soon followed and June became the consummate care giver and mother extraordinaire.

June was the center of our extended family, our anchor. Nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always knew they could count on June for support at any time no questions asked.

June loved to entertain and her home soon became the place for the family and friends to be on special occasions. Large dinners, followed by card games and lively discussions were the norm.

June loved her volunteer work at the Surrey Memorial Hospital and she made many lifelong friends there.

June loved to travel, play bridge with her friends and a crossword puzzle was always close by.

She was the best Mom we could have asked for and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank Fleetwood Place for the compassionate care and support Mom received over the last four months of her life.

There will be no service at this time.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation in Junes honor would be appreciated.
