SUNDERLAND, Amy Joan

-

Amy, at 34, you were taken away from us far, far too early.

Amy is survived by her loving husband, Adam; brothers Dion, Carmen, and Jonathan; sister Emma; nephews Rhys and Declan; and nieces Hannah and Sophie.

How much you gave to us Amy. Your decency, your integrity, your generosity, your selfless devotion to your mother, steadfast love to your husband, loyalty and complete and utter faith. And, of course, your beloved pug Prada ... You faced grief and adversity through personal loss this past year but your duty to your family was held with unwavering courage and conviction.

You were proud of your First Nations heritage, a member of the Musqueam community. You learned voraciously. You lived earnestly, you loved completely.

Born in Hereford, England to a British father, Malcolm Morisson, and a Canadian mother, Barbara Morisson, Amy came back to Canada at age 11 to Vancouver where she attended high schools Winston Churchill and Point Grey, before attending Simon Fraser University. She loved to dance, ballet in particular, at the Goh Ballet Academy. Amy loved all animals: horses, alpacas, and dogs.

Amy's passion for developing happy and caring environments made her perfect for a career in the hospitality industry. A sommelier, she honoured Steamworks, Rockford and Milestones with her professionalism and grace.

In loving memory of Amy Joan Sunderland please consider making a donation to the SPCA for animals in need.
