PETERSON, Ivan Walter

January 11, 1933 - March 30, 2021

Ivan passed away peacefully in his 88th year on March 30, 2021 at Delta Hospital with his family at his side. Survived by his loving wife Rose, his son Robert (Nita), sister Frances Ellis, brothers Jack (Terry), Howard (Betty), Dennis (Joy), numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members. Ivan was a lifelong resident of East Delta. Born and raised into a dairy farming family which he pursued for a number of years. Later he became involved in heavy machinery, trucking and as a backhoe owner/operator which he thoroughly enjoyed. Ivan was a hardworking, warm hearted person who was always willing and able to help family and friends with projects. Ivan was a well-known member of the East Delta Volunteer Fire Department and the East Delta Hall committee. He will be sadly missed and long remembered by all who knew him. A special thank-you to the nursing and medical staff at Delta Hospital for their excellent care. Due to Covid-19 there will be no service at this time.
