It is with sadness that we announce the passing of L. Keith Liddle ("Tweedy" to his oldest friends) on April 9, 2021. Keith, pre-deceased by his father, Lawrence E. Liddle (1996), mother, Jackie Liddle (1986) and his sister, Heather Liddle (1962). Keith leaves behind his former spouse and friend Maryann Formby-Liddle; his son (Patrick, Georgetown On.) and spouse (Julie); his daughter (Meghan, North Vancouver BC) and partner (Terry). Keith (Bopper) also leaves behind his four grandchildren: Thomas, Max, Spencer and Sydney.

Keith, raised in Vancouver, completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at UBC and USC before going on to complete a law degree at UBC. While studying law at UBC, Keith was an active member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity where he made lifelong personal and professional friendships. As a lawyer, Keith was part of a talented team that built the innovative law firm 'Shrum, Liddle and Hebenton' (now McCarthy Tétrault). After briefly testing retirement, Keith rejoined the practice of law with the firm, Liddle, Burns, Beechinor and Baker, where he remained until his retirement in 1990. Golf was a lifelong passion for Keith; as a teenager, he played as often as possible. Over the years his enjoyment of golf never diminished. It simply transitioned from the fairway to the television set - often watching with friends he had known since his days in high school and university.

Over the last few years of his life, Keith encountered a number of medical difficulties. He met them with his characteristic combination of a marvellous sense of humour and courage. We wish to acknowledge the part played by doctors, nurses and caregivers in enabling Keith to enjoy his life right to the end.

In keeping with Keith's wish, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Keith's honour, to Vancouver Hospice Society, Lupus Canada or a charity of your choice.
