TEETER, Sandra Elizabeth

Jul 24, 1959 - Apr 10, 2021

-

Daughter of deceased Trevor and Heather Martin; sister to Pat (Bill), John (Sherry), Ann (Rick) and Greg and aunt to six wonderful nieces and nephews. Proud Mum to her most important assets, Weyme and Joss (Sarah) and the best Grams ever to her granddaughters, Jaya and Makenna, who enriched her life as much as she did theirs. Friend to many here, there and everywhere.

Sandy's many passions included researching her Scottish roots on Ancestry.com, working in her incredible garden, watching British TV shows, planning the next sleepover with Jaya and Kenna and quenching her thirst for travel. She was renowned for her memorable dinner parties on her back deck.

Her love of camping continued through to her 60th birthday celebrated at Cayoosh Creek.

Self-made, ever the organizer, she worked from Lilith Fair to Edgefest to some of the largest conferences in North America.

Our fun-loving, independent Sandy (who was sometimes a bit of a bad-ass) got her motorcycle license. She discovered recently that her greatgrandfather owned the first motorcycle shop in Inverness, Scotland, so the love of motorcycles was in her DNA. Along with her motorcycle license she was most chuffed with her sub-60-minute Vancouver Sun Run when she was 53.

With the help of MAiD, Sandy was able to pass away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation Chemotherapy Clinic (lghfoundation.com) who side-by-side with Dr. Bains gave Sandy incredible support, kindness and friendship, as did her GP, Dr. Colwell.
