Grace Telford died peacefully on April 22, 2021 having enjoyed a wonderful full life of 103 years. Pre-deceased by her husband, Dr. Ken Telford [2004] and her son Malcom [2020].

Born in Moosemin, Sakatchewa­n to Arthur and Agnes Fuller surviving the 1918 influenza epidemic, the loss of her father at a young age, and the depression .

She excelled in the town's one-room schoolhous­e, and at age 16 was offered a scholarshi­p to study nursing in Vancouver-travelling by train to start her career at the Vancouver General Hospital [VGH]. She was awarded the gold medal for 1940 graduating class. While working as head nurse in the OR at VGH, she met her future husband Dr. Ken Telford. They married in 1943 in Victoria, and enjoyed 61 years of married life.

A consummate mother to Malcolm [1945]. Gordon [1947] and Allison [1952].. - a superb cook-meals were eaten as a family, a time of debate and discussion, to hear and appreciate the value of other's ideas. An avid reader and lover of history, music and art; she was extremely current throughout her whole long life. She volunteere­d as docent at Vancouver Art Gallery.

She was a friend, mentor and neighbor to many. She was a luminous, wise, funny, intelligen­t and loving soul-very empathetic to the oppressed and disadvanta­ged, and always a generous supporter when there was a need.

They relocated to Victoria in 1990.

She leaves behind her adoring family, Malcolm's wife Helen, and his children Erin Anderson [Steve], Rob [Bobbi] and Adrienne; son Gordon Telford [Anita] and his children Kate Hamilton [Mike], Kennedy [Kim], Camplin [Rebecca], David and Evan; daughter Allison Weir [Rene] and their children Lindsay Shojania [Keyvan] David [Lisa], Andrew and Elizabeth, eight grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews. Thinking of you always!
