COLOMBARA, Mirco
The family of Mirco Antonio Colombara, of Vancouver, British Columbia, is saddened to announce his sudden passing from heart attack on June 15, 2021, at the age of 86.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Michael (Violeta), his grandsons Marcus and Lucas, his nieces Katia and Sonia and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara and his brother Alfredo.
Mirco was born March 24, 1935, in Schio, Italy. As a young man, he immigrated to Canada and became a Cement Mason. He was a proud 50 year member of the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ Association, local 919. He worked on numerous hydro-electric and other construction projects throughout BC. He was a likeable, social person who made friends easily. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Italian Cultural Centre, his favourite coffee shop on Commercial Drive, Confederation Park and Brentwood Mall. He was a very involved grandfather who loved to take his grandsons out to the park or pool, watch them play sports, challenge them to Scopa and Poker and teach them to cook.
A walkthrough visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby.
