It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of our "Angel". Ingrid was born in Wuppertal, Germany where she lived with her beloved father Willi, mother Gerda, and brothers Willi and Jurgen. In 1957 she immigrated to Canada with her family and lived in Toronto where she met her amazing husband Leopold (Leo). We will forever remember Ingrid for the happiness and smiles that she brought to others. She will sadly be missed for her beautiful smile, incredible laugh, deep caring and generosity. Ingrid loved fashion, jewellery, music, dancing and art and connected with so many through these passions. For many years she had a ceramics business, "Ingrid's Ceramics" where she made many long-time friends. Ingrid had an amazing ability to bring people together and share food, laughter and great times. She travelled the world with Leo and her family and cherished these times. She was the most amazing cook and enjoyed nothing more than cooking for anyone who would eat her food .... and you were unlikely to get away with only one serving. Ingrid is survived by her children Gina, Richard, Robert and Gerhard and her 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mom had a strong belief in Angel's and surrounded herself with their symbols. In her later years, her love was her beautiful toy poodle 'Angel' who was always by her side. We will forever remember the beauty of this love as our Angel leaves us. There will be an outdoor service at 1pm on Saturday, June 19th at Valley View Funeral Home.
