ANDREWS, Katharine Barclay

Born in Brandon, Manitoba to Mary and Jack Sturley the family moved to Flin Flon in 1936, attended school in Winnipeg from 1945 to 1953, graduating from St. Mary’s Academy. Kathie returned to Flin Flon where she met Merv, and was married July 27, 1956 making the move to Burnaby, BC in November 1956, to Chelsea Green in Langley in 1993. In the early years vacations were family drives across the prairies to visit family, retirement years and a 5th wheel meant many more trips.

Survived by her 5 children: Lori Fee, Judith Andrews, Teresa Fouillard, Brent (Leanne) Andrews and Greg (Debby) Andrews as well as 13 precious grandchild­ren and 15 great-grandchild­ren: James, Christy (Eric – Fernie and Ethan), Jason (Kari – Hayden, Shelbi and Talya), Danielle (Darcy – Declan), Aimée (Fraser – Alex, Everly, Esmée and Ellianna) CJ, Sarah, Vaughn, Lee, Shari (Tomek – Kalina, Izaak and Selah), Anna (Steve), Cari (Ryan – Austin and Allie) and Trevor. Also her sister Esme (John) and close cousin Derry (Charlene), cousin-in-law Irene and Merv’s McArthur siblings. Predecease­d by her husband Merv, son-in-law Jacques, her parents, her in-laws Gladys and Rupert Andrews, siblings Bill (Cheiko) and Sheila, close cousins John, Maureen and Robin.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff on Harrison 3 North at Elim Village for their attentive care.

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday May 9, 2022, 11:00 a.m. from St. Nicholas Parish, Langley, BC. Inurnment will follow the service at Fort Langley Cemetery.
