Police seek witnesses in collision

- — Tiffany Crawford

Vancouver police are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage in connection with a serious crash last week.

“Three people were taken to hospital the night of this collision for non-life-threatening injuries,” said Const. Tania Visintin, a spokeswoman for the VPD.

“All three have since been released and are recovering at home.”

As a Toyota Matrix was making a left turn on East 57th Avenue from Fraser Street, it was struck by a Honda CR-V that was travelling south on Fraser Street at around 9 p.m. on Thursday, according to police.

Investigators believe speed was the main cause of this collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage from April 28 between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m., is asked to call VPD's collision investigation unit at 604-717-3012.
