GORDON, Glen

October 18, 1950 – April 25, 2022

Glen was born and grew up in large family of seven children in Atikokan Ontario. Glen joined the navy at age 18 and enjoyed his time and friends in Esquimalt, BC. Fran and Glen met at Red River College in Winnipeg, they married and moved to Abbotsford, BC. Glen worked for Loomis Courier for over 30 years, he loved driving and serving his customers he later worked in the Burnaby office. Tormenting both customers and co-workers with his dry sense of humour. He loved helping young people get their first jobs at Loomis…

Left to survive Glen are his wife Fran, stepsons Terry Isaryk (Mila) and David Isaryk (Char) granddaughters Nicole (Cory) Courtney (Kyle) and great-granddaughter Vanessa. Sisters Barb and Linda (Glen) and brother Allan (Lynell). Sisters-in-law Sharon (Garry), Norma and Edith (Larry) and brother-in-law Elmer. Very good friends John and Linda Fisher. Many nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Frances, Wayne and Dianne.

Glen loved theatre... anything from playing Santa to Shakespeare. Writing, directing and acting in numerous Murder Mystery dinner theatres. Glen was in the UFV theatre program and loved his 1992 theatre trip to England/Wales and Scotland.

Volunteered early at hockey, lacrosse, FV Muscular Dystrophy, Abbotsford Bingo Assn, FV Charitable Community Gaming Assn and lastly at Abbotsford Brain Injury Drop In.

Glen was a wonderful caregiver, not only for his wife but also nieces and nephews and especially he loved taking his mother-in-law to Heat hockey games or to her visits with her coffee friends.

Starbucks West Oaks is where you would find Glen mornings writing his G3 (Glen “Grumpy” Gordon) stories to share with his friends at Brain Injury Drop In.
