FRASER, Glen

-

Glen was born at Grace Hospital in Vancouver, BC on December 1, 1952. His mother said that Glen “shot right out”, perhaps an indicator of how Glen always seemed to be in a rush. On this day, the world was forever changed.

Glen Grew up in his family home in South Vancouver until he graduated from high school. After graduation he bought his grandfather’s house in the same general area of Vancouver.

On November 16, 1985 Glen and Marilyn were married. They both enjoyed calling this house their “home” for 19 wonderful years. After they had both managed to retire they made their move and began to get acquainted with the home they were building on beautiful Horse Lake in 100 Mile House. Holland America cruise ship life suited them quite well, taking them to places such as Alaska, Hawaii, Tahiti, and the Caribbean (just to name a few). They had great times, created lasting memories and met wonderful people.

Glen had many accomplishments as well as one heck of a “tool belt”, he was a jack of all trades, he did everything so well. He was a member of the 100 Mile, Boundary Bay, and Vancouver Flying Clubs. His interests led him to be part of the 100 Mile gun club, the legion, golfing, garden club, and the VSOP. The Vancouver Police Department was so very fortunate to have Glen on their side for 28 years. He made an impact and a difference before retiring in 2004 as a decorated Detective Constable. Glen was a gentle, kind, and friendly man who stood a modest 6 feet, 8 inches tall. His smile said all a person needed to know, that getting to know him would be wonderful.

Come join us for Glen’s memorial service that will be held at Richmond Funeral Home in Richmond, B.C on May 13, at 1:00 p.m.
