KLINE, Dr. Terry S.
June 7, 1931 - May 4, 2022
After a long, happy and fulfilling life, the family announces the peaceful passing of Terry Kline at the age of 90. Terry was a wonderful husband, father, and Zaida, gifted prosthodontist, and all-round great guy. Calm, kind-hearted and ethical in his dealings, Terry was also extremely competent in all his endeavours and the consummate "go to" person. He also knew how to balance his very successful dental career with fun, which included skiing at Whistler, boating, fishing, golfing and travelling all over the world. He received many honours during his professional career including becoming a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists and Member of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. In addition to his private practice, Terry was a valued member of the UBC dental faculty for 46 years, inspiring multiple generations of new dentists. He was a very active member of the Beth Israel synagogue. He was also a long-term and active member of the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C, Canadian and B.C. Societies of Prosthodontists, B.C. Dental Association, Sigma Alpha Mu, Alpha Omega, Richmond Country Club and Burrard Yacht Club. Terry was predeceased by his daughter Marlee (Joel Bakan), parents Maurice and Ida, brother Harry and sister-in-law Lu, in-laws Harry and Charlotte Boyaner and sister-in-law Susan Corn. Terry will be greatly missed by his wife Carol, children Sandy and Ronnie (Ruth Buckwold) and grandchildren Myim, Adina, Adam and Zevi, for whom he was a true inspiration. Donations may be made to the VGH/UBC foundation in support of Leukemia Research or UBC - Faculty of Dentistry or a charity of your choice. Please raise a glass and say a L'Chaim (To Life!) in his honour.
