MAUCH, William George
July 9, 1941 - May 10, 2022
William George Mauch passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Vancouver, BC to Elizabeth and Bill Mauch, and older brother to Rose and Kathy. George attended King Edward HS and graduated from UBC Civil Engineering. He played a role in the building of the Vancouver skyline, most notably Science World. George is known for his lovely smile and gentle demeanor and was always there with a helping hand. George was a kind and loving partner to his wife of 54 years, Pat, as well as a thoughtful father to Brian (Christine) and Shona (Chris) and a dedicated grandfather to Trevor, Jacob, Alex, and Brendan. Family was an important pillar for George and he demonstrated this through his actions every day. After many years in North Vancouver, Pat and George moved to False Creek in retirement. George and Pat spent much of their time at the family cabin George built on Mayne Island, walking the tide pools with his grandkids, visiting with friends, and puttering around the property forever fixing things. George and Pat enjoyed many travel adventures with family and friends living their philosophy of "postpone nothing". In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Parkinson's Society BC. George will be greatly missed but will be forever in our hearts. Till we meet again.
