LAMBERT, Philip John (Phil)

Oct 7, 1957 - Apr 10, 2022

-

Phil left this world after a tragic fall at his beloved Bean Scene in Vernon, BC. Many friends, community and family members were involved in the whirlwind of his generous heart, exciting adventures and personal storms. Born in Vancouver and raised in Caulfeild, Phil moved to Vernon where he created the Bean Scene in 1994. Previously he delivered papers and was a manager at McDonald's and London Drugs. He loved people, dogs, camping, travel, outdoor sports and nature. Phil's creativity showed in the design of the Bean, where he held evenings of music, poetry readings and showcased local artists on its walls. Born into a musical family, Phil learned piano at age 5 and had a lifetime passion for music. At the Bean Scene, Phil supported charity projects such as the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. In June 2016, Phil won the Above and Beyond award for ongoing community and international support of a number of initiatives, including anti-bullying groups (NOYFS). Philip is predeceased by his beloved Mum Esme, Dad Harold, Auntie Bob, sister and childhood best friend Lisa (Jennifer). He is survived by his sister Wendy (Dave) nephews and niece; Zac (Katie, children James, Thomas), Kira, Lucas (Breanna, children Theodore, Violet) and Graden. We wish him peace. Celebration of Life to be Announced
