MACDONALD, Margaret Anne Catherine (Cathy)
May 27, 1929 - May 10, 2022
Margaret Anne Catherine Macdonald (Glosli) (Kite) passed peacefully due to complications of pneumonia with husband John Kite and other beloved family gathered around her.
Cathy was born on May 27th, 1929 to the late John Macdonald and Helen Rosamond Armstrong (Macdonald) in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by husband Leif Glosli, grandson Baden, son-in-law Glen Miller, and her siblings Donald and Joanna.
She delighted in her four exceptional children: Dora (Glen, Jay), Jim (Debbi), Peter (Kim), and Magna (Ray), her eleven grandchildren: Kimberly (Neil), Robert (Naomi), Jennifer (Heinrich), Brett (Elyshia), Erikka (Sean), Leif, Heath, Cort, Baden, Catriona, and Lenora, and her fifteen great-grandchildren: Tom, Emma, Becca, Ryan, Claira, Grace, Maëlle, Bailey, Finlay, Elliot, Stella, James, Sullivan, Delilah, and Terra.
Cathy will be remembered as both a finder of souls and a feeder of them. Her decades of volunteer service as a family history consultant touched the lives of countless individuals, and no guest ever left her home hungry if she had anything to say about it. And she usually had a great deal to say! She gave so much to so many, and we will never be done being grateful to her for it.
A memorial will be held at 3:00 PM on 2022-05-22 at 7021 93 Mile Loop Road, 100 Mile House, BC. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ukrainian Refugee Fund. Contact kimberly.vanderhorst@gmail.com for service details and/or Zoom link.
