RUHLAND, Judith Lynn (Judy) (nee: Matheson)

Following a valiant battle with cancer, it is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Judy on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Judy is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Rick, her children Mike and Tammy (Tom), grandsons Cody (Megan) and Jordan, sister Dona Walton, as well as numerous other family members and many special dear friends.

She enjoyed a 25-year professional career with the Royal Bank of Canada, where she was highly regarded and respected by customers and colleagues alike.

Judy enjoyed retirement to the fullest, spending her time with family and friends, playing tennis, golf, bridge, traveling, and was an avid reader. All of her clubs and groups were of high importance and profoundly enriched her life. She was a friendly, thoughtful, compassionate, generous, and loyal friend to everyone who knew her. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her sharp, witty sense of humor was appreciated by all.

Judy was honored and privileged to volunteer with Meals on Wheels, having personal relationships with all of those she served.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Union Gospel Mission, Covenant House, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, or a charity of your choice.
