Man, 21, injured in crash on Hastings

A pedestrian was hit and critically injured by an SUV in Burnaby late Sunday.

Police are investigating the crash on Hastings Street that happened just before midnight. A 2019 Ford Edge was headed east on Hastings when it hit the pedestrian crossing the road. The 21-year-old man was taken to hospital and Burnaby RCMP say his injuries are “lifethreatening.” The driver stayed at the scene and is co-operating.
