PAN, Matteo Pietro

Matteo Pan, who resided in New Westminster, passed away on May 4, 2022, due to complications of COVID at the age of 95. Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Ida, in 2017, Matteo is survived by his daughter, Liana (Monica) and his son, Matt (Sharon).

Born to his parents Emilio and Maria Pan on July 22, 1926, in Cittadella, Italy, he arrived in Halifax in 1950, moved to Toronto and eventually settled in Vancouver.

Matteo met the love of his life at the Cave Nightclub and eventually, they married on December 26, 1953 and had two wonderful children.

He was a hard-working man who started as a logger, a truck driver and then became a successful businessman. He was devoted to his wife, Ida, and his children. He also loved golf, tending to his vegetable garden, and fixing anything that was broken.

Reunited with his beloved Ida, they are sipping some wine and dancing up a storm.
