Yankees place Chapman to IL

The New York Yankees placed left-handed reliever Aroldis Chapman on the 15-day injured list before Tuesday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles.

According to the team, Chapman, 34, is experiencing tendinitis in his left Achilles.

A seven-time All-Star, Chapman has racked up 315 saves and more than 1,000 strikeouts in his 13-year MLB career.
