Apr 21, 1927 - Aug 11, 2022

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Elizabeth, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother. Born in Montreal to Hope and Elmore Philpott, she moved with her parents and siblings, Stuart and Martha, to Hamilton, Ontario and then to Vancouver in 1940. She graduated from Magee Secondary in1945 and attended the University of British Columbia, where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work.

She became a wonderful mother, beginning in 1955, to her four children: Stuart(Selene), Ann(Paul), Jamie(Lora) and Geoff(Selene); a treasured grandmother to Terry (Serena), Andrew(Melissa),Codi, and Aubree; and a loving greatgrandmother to Lucia, Michael, and Adelina.

Betty married George Doiron in 1983, and joyfully added to her family: Dan(Gill), Bruce(Lisa), Julia (Kenn), and Laura(Allen) and many wonderful grandchildren.

A proud member for 70 years of the PEO(Chapter A) she was committed to philanthropy and through her involvement forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. She enjoyed traveling in her later years with George as they embarked on many cruises and golf trips to California, Phoenix and Thailand. While she enjoyed these excursions, she was equally content enjoying her time at the family cabin on Skaha Lake, where she ensured her children experienced many wonderful and carefree summers. Elizabeth will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family and friends, and her love of a good party! She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

A service is planned for October 7th at 2:00pm at St. Faith's Anglican Church, 7284 Cypress St., Vancouver.
